The Project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, tools, etc. unless otherwise specified, for the complete and operable installation of: The Project consists of various sewer rehabilitation projects throughout the OWASA service area. The project area is located throughout the Town of Carrboro. The Project includes, but is not limited to, furnishing of labor materials, and equipment for the construction of the following: 8-in diameter gravity sewer to be rehabilitated using cured-in-place lining; rehabilitation of existing manholes using calcium aluminate cementitious lining systems, other manhole rehabilitation work including, but not limited to sand blasting, patching voids and all frame connections with non-shrink grout flexible interior/exterior chimney seals; traffic control; and bypass pumping and all associated appurtenances as described in the Specifications and as shown on the Drawing The foregoing description shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required. Orange Water and Sewer Authority requires the Project to be at Substantial Completion within 180 consecutive calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed and at Final Completion 240 consecutive calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed It is to be noted that, North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) resurfacing project is scheduled to start in Summer 2022 in the East Main Street part of the project corridor. Construction inside NCDOT resurfacing project limits shall be complete by May 01, 2022. Bids shall be submitted under a condition of irrevocability, except as required by law, for a period of or ninety (90) calendar days after the Bid opening. Orange Water and Sewer Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive any and all informalities, and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional Bids or counter Bids, and to accept the Bid that will be in the best interest of Orange Water and Sewer Authority.
The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:
1. Cleaning and videotaping of all segments to be rehabilitated
2. Installation of cured in place liner in segments indicated on the drawings
3. Final videotaping of all segments once rehabilitation is complete
4. Rehabilitation of existing manholes to the extent indicated on the drawings
5. Final photos of all manholes once rehabilitation is complete
6. Required testing
7. Restoration
Satisfactory cleanup and restoration operations, as determined by the Owner and Engineer,
must be underway at a given site before Contractor will be allowed to start construction on
another site
