The RDBN owns an 11-acre property containing an informal parking lot, trails, and small beach area used by residents for decades. The property is located approximately 4 km east of Burns Lake. The trail connecting the parking lot to the beach crosses the CN railway right of way. The existing informal parking lot is accessed from the eastbound lane of Highway 16 and is located within the highway right-of-way. TIMELINE Request for proposal for engineering contract services for the preparation of detailed design plans is closed. Successful proponent is unreleased. Further update spring 2023, upon award.
