Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a municipal facility in Bradford, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.

The project consists of the demolition of a two story steel framed, brick structure and two one - story structures. Contractor shall be responsible for asbestos removal, demolition and removal of debris to the Casella Landfill. It is strongly recommended that bidder meet on-site with the City prior to preparing the bid. Contact Jeff Andrews at 598- 2645 to set up the on-site meeting. Cash , certified check or cashier's check made payable to the order of the City of Bradford or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety , in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each bid. Bidder shall also provide Statement of Qualifications with their bid. The successful bidder will be required to deliver a Performance Bond (per Third Class City Code 36901 (g)) and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract sum with a surety company listed on the Treasury Department's most current list (Circular 570 as amended) at the time the contract is signed with the City. In lieu of bonds, the Contractor may provide and Irrevocable Letter of Credit equal to the amount of bonding required for the project. Attention is called to the fact that Pennsylvania State Prevailing Wages must be paid for any public contract over $25,000. Contractor shall comply with all state and federal laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring and employment. Bids shall be submitted on forms prescribed and bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for opening thereof, or before award of contract unless said award is delayed for a period of more than 45 days.
