Site work and renovation of a civil project in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Project generally includes: Abrams PS: Replace six (6) 16-inch motor actuated plug valves with six (6) new 16-inch motor actuated plug valves; Replace two existing 12-inch flow meters with new 12-inch flow meters; Provide and install one (1) new paperless chart recorders with dual flow capability. Valley Brook PS: Remove and replace the two (2) existing submersible pumps and motors with two (2) new submersible pumps and motors; Replace approximately 20 feet of 4-inch ductile iron discharge piping; Remove the existing motor starts and install two (2) new motor starters for each pump. Trout Run WPCC Main PS: Remove one (1) existing influent pump and motor and replace it with a new dry-pit submersible wastewater pump. Install one (1) new VFD control for the new pump. Replace approximately 15 feet of discharge piping. Questions will be accepted until 4:00 P.M., prevailing time, on Friday December 17, 2021; Bids may be modified or withdrawn at any time prior to the opening of Bids. After the Bid opening, Bids may be withdrawn only by complying with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania laws and regulations. A summary of such laws and regulations is given in the Instructions to Bidders (Document 00100). Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening unless award is delayed by a required approval from a governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of 120 days from the date of Bid opening. See Instructions to Bidders for other provisions on the time available for acceptance of Bids. The Contract will be subject to the Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry. Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security in the form of a certified check, bank check, irrevocable letter of credit, or Bid bond (on the form included with the Bidding Documents) for ten (10) percent of the Bid total. Bidders, subcontractors, their workers and any persons providing labor and products to the Project shall be persons lawfully permitted to work in the United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As a precondition of being awarded a Contract, Successful Bidder, and its subcontractor(s) are required, to provide confirmation of compliance with Act 127 of 2012, the "Public Works Employment Verification Act". Upper Merion Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any or all Bids and to waive any omissions, errors, or irregularities in any Bid. Expected contract amount is $650,000 to $700,000 (General and Electrical Combined) *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The scope of work under this contract includes but is not limited to: 1. All investigation work required to establish the use and configuration of the as-found hardware of each control signal affected under this contract. 2. Document all changes to the control system, including the updating of the existing control system documentation to reflect changes made during construction and discrepancies found during the investigation work. 3. Furnish, install, connect, configure, and test PLC hardware, and software products and related items. 4. Furnish, relocate, install, connect, configure, and test Ethernet LAN communication equipment hardware, software, and related items. 5. Furnish and install all equipment enclosures, power supplies, interconnecting cables, and support software and equipment required for a complete and functional system. 6. Furnish and install all conduit, conductors, terminal boxes, and appurtenant equipment shown on the Contract Drawings, hereinafter specified, and/or required for a complete and fully functional installation to the satisfaction of the Engineer. 7. Configure all equipment to operate satisfactorily and demonstrate that the system is properly operating. 8. Provide training on the OIT and PLC hardware and software supplied and implemented under this contract. 9. Provide additional services from the System Integrator, as requested, for additional training, configuration and programming services, troubleshooting, and related activities.
