This solicitation is to establish a contract for statewide windshield repair and replacement services.This SOW is to provide services for provide windshield repair or replacement for TxDOT cars, light to heavy-duty trucks, and off-road equipment referenced on Attachment A Equipment List on an as-needed basis at locations specified in the solicitation. Vendor shall be able to service 80% of the State of Texas, including service within 24 hours. The initial term of one year commences upon the issuance of a contract by TxDOT and expires on January 6, 2022 with the option to renew for three one-year periods at TxDOT's sole discretion. TxDOT will provide an intent to renew in writing 30 days prior to expiration of the current term. The HUB Subcontracting Plan (HSP) shall be reviewed and evaluated prior to contract award and, if accepted, the finalized HSP will become part of the contract with the successful respondent(s). TxDOT reserves the right to accept or reject all or any part of any response, waive minor technicalities, and make an award to best serve the interests of the state. TxDOT reserves the right to reject any response not prepared and submitted in accordance with the solicitation requirements. Prior to and after award of the contract, designated TxDOT representatives may conduct unannounced visits to inspect vendor's and its subcontractor's facilities during normal business hours to monitor compliance in accordance with TxDOT specifications or carry out performance audits of the service.
