City Utilities of Springfield, Missouri, a municipally owned utility, is seeking bids from Vendors to furnish power distribution transformers. City Utilities (CU) expects the following services:1. Source the material shown on the Bid Form in an efficient manner.2. Vendor to keep City Utilities updated of material lead-time, both projected and actual.Additionally, Vendor will be expected to provide information and services on such items as standardization of products, new products, cost reductions, engineering services, quality control methods and other services you can offer City Utilities.City Utilities desired objectives are:o To experience a high level of service from the supplier.o To experience a high level of quality in transformers received.o To purchase newly manufactured transformers, the scope of this contract DOES NOT include reconditioned transformers.o Receipt of shipments by the due date.o Pricing structure that allows for City Utilities to receive the best price possible while still providing flexibility in respect to supply-chain and demand concerns.o For the supplier to be knowledgeable of our inventory needs and the marketplace and provide feedback and advice to avoid transformer supply issues. This RFP will result in a one (1) year contract with the possibility of four (4) annual renewal options as stated in the conditions of the RFP.
