The Contractor shall provide all plant, labor and material to repair bent flange members through heat straightening. 2. Repair Areas. The downstream-side of the upstream-landside-miter-gate-leaf at Lock and Dam No. 6 was damaged by a tow allision. The locations to be repaired are called out on the attached Miter Gate Repair Scope of Work, including attached photographs and marked-up drawings. For the purposes of this scope of work, the vertical beams and girders are named consecutively from No. 1 adjacent to the quoin to No. 11 adjacent to the miter girder. The following numbers designate vertical beams: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, and 11. The following numbers designate vertical girders: 4 and 8. Heat straightening of the following members is included in the scope of work: - Vertical Beams Numbers: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10 - Vertical Girder Numbers: 4 and 8 - Top Horizontal Girder, designated portions, including flanges but not webs - Gusset plates connected to the designated portions of the top horizontal girder - Walkway support members connected to the designated portions of the top horizontal girder Heat straightening of the vertical girder No. 11, quoin girder, miter girder, and diagonal tension ties, are not included in the scope of work.
