The Engineer's opinion of probable construction cost for the Work is between $11,000,000 and $12,500,000. The Des Moines Airport Authority (the "Authority") has need of a qualified contractor to complete the work comprising the below referenced improvement. The undersigned Bidder hereby proposes to complete the work comprising the improvements, as specified in the Contract Documents officially on file with the Authority's Airport Engineer, at the prices provided in Part C of this Proposal: The Work generally consists of the construction of 2,500 LF of airport entrance road, and related site improvements. The project also includes construction of a roadway to accommodate delivery trucks departing the airport; removal of existing pavement, conduit, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and gas main; construction of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain, electrical and communications conduit; ground improvements, including the load transfer platform (LTP); retaining walls; mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall; precast concrete 3-sided structure; traffic control; seeding, sodding and landscaping including irrigation; roadway markings and signing; street lighting. Approximate quantities are as follows: 1. 16,000 SY of Pavement Removal 2. 17,000 CY of Class 10 Excavation for Roadway Construction 3. 44,500 CY of Class 10 Embankment for Roadway Construction 4. 15,000 CY of Granular Material 5. 2,100 LF of RCP Storm Sewer 6. 1,000 LF of Sanitary Sewer 7. 1,600 LF of Watermain 8. 13,000 LF of Electrical and Communications Conduit 9. 6,600 SY of HMA Pavement 10. 2,900 LF PCC Curb and Gutter 11. 120 LF Security Fence 12.
