Mesa Unified School District #4 ("District") is seeking the services of a responsible and responsive vendor to repair/replace the current boiler system in the Physical Education building for the girls locker room at Dobson High School, located at 1501 W Guadalupe Road, Mesa AZ 85202, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation. Question Submission Deadline: January 4, 2022, 12:00pm Noon 1. Existing boiler and storage tank to be removed and all water lines/gas lines and all electrical to be capped off in a safe manner for the removal of the boiler and tank. 2. Contractor to provide design/labor and materials for a tankless water heating system with enough output to provide continual hot water at the showers and hand wash stations. 3. Run new gas lines and electrical as needed for the install of the new system. Hot and cold water shut off valves (ball valves) to be installed on the main water supply lines. 4. Replace existing thermostatic mixing valves with new valves. (symmons is the preferred brand for the Mesa School district.) 5. Replace all isolation valves with ball valves. 6. Manifold the tankless water heaters so that unit can be isolated independently for redundancy in the event of failure or maintenance. 7. Add emergency shut off solenoid valve on the gas line. 8. Contractor shall provide the district with AS-BUILTS upon completion. Including clearance dimensions around the new equipment. 9. Contractor to provide district personnel on installation training and preventative maintenance training during installation and after installing. This project will be completed within 4 weeks from the time of construction start date. Contractors shall note that the work must be completed and a Certificate of Final Completion issued within 4 weeks from the construction start date. Failure to do so will result in liquidated damages. In accordance with School District Procurement Rules in the Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) promulgated by the State Board of Education pursuant to A. R. S. 15-213, bids for the material or services specified will be received by the Mesa Unified School District #4 electronically through ProcureNow. Bids received by the correct time and date shall be opened and the vendor's who submitted shall be publicly read. After the bids submitted in response to an invitation for bids are opened and the award is made the governing board shall make available for public inspection all information, all bids and all findings and other information considered in determining whose bid conforms to the invitation for bids and will be the most advantageous with respect to price, conformity to the specifications and other factors to be selected for the award.
