Asbestos abatement and renovation of an educational facility in Washington, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
Owner will issue an authorization letter and tax exemption certificate to the contractor and/or subcontractors for the purchase or use of building materials, supplies, and equipment to be used on this project only. DO NOT INCLUDE SALES TAX ON YOUR BID FORM. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 30 calendar days after the date of the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following: The work includes HVAC improvements to the existing High School located at 1111 SB Avenue, Washington, IA 52353. The HVAC improvement involves replacement of the existing boiler heat system for the classroom section of the North wing with new mechanical rooftop units. Additional interior improvements include fire sprinkler expansion to this wing, low voltage systems, ceiling replacement, light fixtures, framing, drywalling, painting, and asbestos abatement. Exterior work includes roof patching, sheet metal patching, and glazing.
