The Town of Danville is requesting proposals for milling and overlaying several streets within the town. This project will be funded using the Community Crossings Grant issued by the State of Indiana Department of Transportation. Description Milling and overlaying will be conducted on Broadway St. from S. Washington St. to Dead End and N. County Road 200E from US36 to Main St. within the Town of Danvill Project Goals 1. Resurface designated streets identified as needing repair by the Town of Danville 2. Provide a smooth, safe surface for the travelling public Scope of Work and Deliverables 1. Provide traffic control for both milling and paving operations 2. Mill asphalt at a depth of 2", at an estimated total of 3,034 cu.yds. on N CR 200E and 19,290 cu.yds. on E. Broadway 3. Haul 50 cubic yards of millings to DPW shop at 1010 E. Broadway in Danville 4. Dispose of remaining asphalt millings 5. Adjust any necessary castings to proper elevation 6. Use HMA Base Mix from an INDOT approved plant to patch any holes after milling operation with an estimated total of 50 Tons on N. CR 200E and 50 Tons on E. Broadway St. 7. Sweep milled areas post milling and prior to paving 8. Apply Tack Coat to milled areas, using approximately 500 gallons on N. CR 200E and 1000 gallons on E. Broadway St. 9. Pave streets at a depth of 2" using HMA from an INDOT approved plant at an approximate total of 320 Tons on N. CR 200E and 2,030 Tons on E. Broadway St. 10. Provide compaction of asphalt in accordance with INDOT specifications Bid awarded December 15, 2021 Notification of bid awarding December 16, 2021 Project completed between April 4th-15th, 2022 After review of the RFP, questions must be submitted in writing and received prior to December 2, 2021. Responses or clarifications will be made within 3 business days. Addenda will be issued for any changes to the RFP.
