Renovation of a detention facility in Charleston, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The project's scope of work generally involves improving the SECC's security systems by establishing a site-wide redundant detention controls network, replacing the existing detention controls system and subsystems, and rebuilding some vehicle gate operators. The scope of work includes the following: Replacement, modest expansion, and integration of the following systems: detention PLC touchscreen control system, video management system, paging and intercom system, and access control system. Replacement of keypad-operated stand-alone mortised locksets with mortised locksets having battery operated, wirelessly connected integral smartcard readers. Establishment of a redundant facility detention control network to include a single-mode fiber optic loop. Refurbishment of several large motorized vehicle gates MBE 10%, WBE 10%, and SDVE 3% The State reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 20 working days subsequent to the specified bid opening time. The contractor shall pay not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the work is performed, as determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations and as set out in the detailed plans and specifications.
