The work of this Contract includes: Complete demolition and removal of the two houses located at 129 and 131 Franklin Street Project Location: 129 & 131 Franklin Street Westfield, MA. General Bids will be valid only when accompanied by (1) a current certificate of eligibility issued by Division of Capital Assets Management and Maintenance, showing that the General Bidder has the classification of "Demolition" and a capacity to perform this work and (2) an update statement summarizing the General Bidder's record for the period between the latest Division of Capital Assets Management and Maintenance certification and the date the bid is submitted Each General Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Payment and Performance Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Wage rates for this Project are subject to minimum wage rates as per M.G.L., Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H inclusive. The bidding and award of the Contract shall be in full compliance with Chapter 149, Sections 44A-44J of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in their best interest.
