As of November, 2022 the award is still pending. Although a confirmed timeline has yet to be released, it is not estimated that construction will commence before first-quarter, 2023. This project is to remove nine existing fish barriers and replace them with fish-passable crossings at I-90 Sunset and Lewis Creeks, SR 161 Unnamed Tributaries to Hylebos Creek and SR 202/SR 203 Tributaries to Snoqualmie River. The project shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Design and construction of fish passable water crossing and structures, including all associated stream restoration. Acquisition of environmental permits. Temporary and permanent utility adjustment and relocation. Other elements including, but not limited to embankment, grading, paving, storm drainage, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), signing, illumination, erosion control, and planting. Funding source A state project with a 16% voluntary minority/women business enterprise goal and enforceable 5% Small business enterprise and 3% Veteran-owned businesses goals. Estimated value $115,000,000 - $130,000,000 WSDOT - I-90, SR 161, SR 202 and SR 203 - Fish Passage *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
