***As of February 7, 2022, the project has been awarded for the amount of $4,918,819.50.*** The scope of work for the project includes approximately 5,200 LF of new 36-inch sanitary sewer pipeline to increase capacity of the Prairie Creek East Basin by upsizing the existing interceptor along an alignment beginning west of I-35E at Prairie Creek, ending to the west of Kealy Avenue by means of installing PVC pipe by open cut, or sliplining or CIPP lining portions of the existing pipeline. The project includes abandoning the existing 24-inch to 27-inch interceptor which is predominately vitrified clay pipe (VCP). In addition to the above, there will be other miscellaneous items of construction as defined in the plans and specifications. Bidders are required to submit a cashier's or certified check issued by a bank satisfactory to the City of Lewisville, or a Bid Bond (with proper Power of Attorney) from a surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas, payable without recourse to the City of Lewisville, in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the total amount of the base bid submitted to insure that the successful bidder will enter into a contract and execute all necessary bonds within fifteen (15) days after notice of award of the contract to him. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the following bonds from a surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas. These bonds, along with proper insurance papers, will be incorporated as part of the final contract documents and will remain in effect until the completion and acceptance of the project. Maintenance bonds shall be in effect based on their stated term after final acceptance of the project. In conformance with applicable statutes utilizing Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates as adopted by the General Services Commission, the general prevailing wage rates in the locality in which the work is to be performed have been ascertained and such rate shall be the minimum paid for labor employed on this project; unless federal monies are used, in which case, specific wage decisions will be listed as part of the overall bid documents. The City of Lewisville reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part; to waive any informality in any bid.
