Project No. 101.115 The work is located at the City of Bandon Water Treatment Plant, City of Bandon, Coos County, Oregon. Improvements take place at the City's existing two million gallon water storage tank, which is approximately 0.75 miles east of the intersection of Highway 101 and US 42S via Highway 42S and then approximately 0.10 south on Fish Hatchery Road. Project Category Code: Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Schedule A - Seismic Protection Improvements 1. Modify the inlet and outlet piping to include a seismically actuated valve on the outlet line and check valve on the inlet line and flexible expansion joint fittings. Install new valves and fittings as shown on the Plans. 2. Inlet and outlet penetrations will be converted to above ground penetration. A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held. 3. Install, test, and instruct City Staff with regard to maintenance of a 120 V powered and battery backed seismic shut off valve system. The Contractor will need to connect power to installed equipment as shown on the Plans and Specifications. Schedule B - Interior Coating and Incidental Painting 1. Welded steel reservoir interior painting work includes surface preparation near white metal blast cleaning. Repaint the interior walls, floor, roof system, support columns, and all related appurtenances of the existing 2-million-gallon reservoir. The 2 MG tank may only be out of service from March 1, 2023 until May 20, 2023. It will be emptied and turned over to the Contractors by City staff on March 1.
