Traffic Signal Improvements W/ Intersection Technology Enhancements - 06-B6111-00-TL The work for which proposals are invited primarily consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment required for the interconnection and modernization of existing traffic signal equipment, installation of two dynamic messase signs (DMS) on Stony Island Avenue from 95th Street to 69th Street in the City of Chicago. The project also includes the reconstruction of the east approach of Museum Drive to create one left turn lane, one through lane, and one right turn lane). The traffic signal interconnect will be wireless using cellular modems. Traffic signal modernization work will be performed at three traffic signal modernizations (69th Street, 57th Street/Hyde Park, 57th Street/57th Drive/Museum Drive/Cornell). Two Dynamic Message Signs will be installed to provide traveler information. This includes but is not limited to the following activities: installation or relocation of traffic signals and street lights, concrete traffic signal and street lighting foundations, traffic signal and street lighting controllers, wiring, electrical conduits, video system detection cameras and processors, pavement resurfacing, pavement removal for utility trenching with new concrete base course for utility trenches, adjustment of existing structures, removal and replacement of temporary sidewalk and temporary pavement, topsoil, sodding, pavement markings; as described in the detail specifications, including all appurtenant work and accessories, to the complete satisfaction of, approval and acceptance by the City
