The project will include the installation of 80 - 100 metal Halide light fixtures at the Livonia High School Baseball and Softball fields, at 3118 La Highway 78, Livonia, LA 70755. The light fixtures are the property of the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board and are being housed at 321 Napoleon Street, New Roads, LA 70760. The total bid should include all the necessary supplies to complete this project: wooden poles, upgrade to electrical panel, and upgrade to existing fixtures. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with LA. R.S. 38.2212 (A) (1) (b), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the advertisement bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board. Envelopes containing bids and bid guarantee must be sealed, marked with the project name, and with the Contractor's name as it appears on the License and Louisiana Contractor's license number on the outside of the envelope. All bids must be accompanied by bids security equal to five (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid Bond form written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana, signed by the surety's agency or attorney-in-fact. Surety must be listed on the current U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service list of approved bonding companies as approved for an amount equal to or greater than the amount for which it obligates itself in the Bond or must be Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A-rating in the latest printing of the A.M. 2009. No Bid Bond indicating an obligation of less than five (5%) by any method is acceptable. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214.
