The work consists of furnishing all labor, material and equipment for addition of a boom anti-collision system and replacement of the festoon system on two ship-to-shore container cranes as per the drawings and specifications provided in this bid document. The site is located at the Nashville-Napoleon Container Terminal in New Orleans, Louisiana. (Estimated Cost: $600,000 to $1,100,000). All persons seeking entry to the Nashville-Napoleon Container Terminal for construction activities and/or deliveries must possess Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC). TWIC escorts are not permitted. A deposit of five percent (5%) of the cost of the contract price of work to be done for the Base Bid plus all additive Alternate Bid prices, by certified check, cashier's check or bid bond is required, and the bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall also be required to furnish a performance bond in the total amount of the bid. The bid bond must be furnished in accordance with the requirements of La. R.S. 38:2218, and the performance bond in accordance with the provisions of La. R.S. 38:2219.
