In FY 2022, the City engaged Kimley-Horn to develop a plan for the ultimate buildout of T.W. King Pump Station #2, resulting in the development a 3-phased approach for site improvements that are designed to meet customer needs for water quality and system resiliency. Funding is requested for the engineering, design and construction of phase 1 improvements that include the installation of a backup power generator, residual control system to support water quality, connection to the City's wastewater system as well as on-site security improvements and the extension of a fiber optic connection that provides redundant, remote control and access to SCADA. These improvements are necessary to improve the safety, security, and quality of the City's water infrastructure. This project is included in the city's FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program. As of February 15, 2023, further details regarding design and construction timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
