Renovation of a mixed-use development in Streator, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of December 21, 2021, the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Project completion is August 2022. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. Demolition of existing interior walk-in freezer unit and refrigeration equipment. Provide new interior walk-in freezer unit on existing concrete floor slab inside of maintenance building. Provide new refrigeration equipment including remote condensing units on concrete pads outside of maintenance building. Modify electrical service as required to serve new walk-in freezer unit/refrigeration equipment. Other miscellaneous work as shown or required by the construction documents. Contractor is required to pay the higher of the prevailing wage required by the county or that required by any other governing body. Contractor shall have sole responsibility and duty to ensure that the mandated prevailing rate of hourly wages is paid by the Contractor and all subcontractors to each worker to whom the rates are applicable. Changes to the prevailing wage rates shall not result in an increase in Contract Sum. Contractor will be required to submit certified payroll along with each pay request for his employees, subcontractors, and all workers that perform work at the site. Each Contractor's certified payroll shall be accompanied by a signed/notarized affidavit that they are in compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act for the County where the contract is being performed and for each craft or type of worker needed to execute Contract.
