LEGAL NOTICE CITY OF OAK FOREST, ILLINOIS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES The City of Oak Forest, Illinois The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the applicable provisions of the Illinois Human Rights Act and the rules of the Illinois Human Rights Commission. Any contract executed is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. By order of the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Oak Forest, Cook County, Illinois. Scope The City of Oak Forest (herein after referred to as the City) is requesting proposals from Illinois State Licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractors to provide asbestos abatement services at 15426 S Cicero Avenue, a City owned commercial building slated for demolition. Demolition specifications will be structured so that an awarded demolition contractor will have no need to subcontract for abatement. The following items are included in the scope of abatement services: 1) Removal of asbestos materials as identified in the asbestos assessment report provided in this bid document (Appendix A) 2) Proposal to include all permits and fees. 3) Any additional efforts to make the work accessible is incidental to the scope of work Proposal questions and bid results may be obtained by telephone at 708-535-4090 or by email at dmilanowicz@oak-forest.org
