Questions Due Date: Dec 17th 2021, 5:00 PM EST The principal features of the work to be performed under this Contract include mobilization, demolition, bypass pumping, concrete work, installation of self-contained motorized slide gates and actuators, removal and disposal of existing mud valves including furnishing and installation of blind flanges at each of their existing penetrations, electrical, instrumentation and controls, site restoration, confined space entry and demobilization. Substantial Completion within one hundred forty days (140) calendar days and final completion within one hundred and fifty (150) calendar days The principal features of the work to be performed under this Contract include mobilization, demolition, by-pass pumping, concrete work, installation of selfcontained motorized slide gates, removal and disposal of existing mud valves including furnishing and installing blind flanges at each of their piping connections, electrical, instrumentation and controls, site restoration, and demobilization. 1. Establishment of the Contractor's Physical plant including, but not limited to, project horizontal and vertical control and layout, temporary fencing and security, set-up and operation of by-pass pumping equipment, temporary facilities, services for maintaining health and safety, confined space entrance protocol, and site cleanliness. 2. Pipe plugging and/or blocking of the existing 24-inch diameter influent sewer line at the point where it enters the pump station's influent channels from MH-1 to allow for this manhole to act as the wet well for bypass pumping operations. 3. Furnishing, delivery, off-loading and installation of slide gates in place of existing slide gates SG-1 and SG-2. This also includes the demolition of mud valves MV1 and MV2 and furnishing and installing blind flanges at each of their piping connections. 4. Structural work including new concrete within existing influent flow channels. 5. Electrical work including new conduits and wiring for new slide gate motorized actuators, remote control panel, and for instrumentation and control.
