***As of January 7, 2022, the project has not yet been awarded. The contract is planned to be award in the next week or two, as soon as the paperwork is executed.*** The scope of work shall include the installation of the following approximate items of work, quantities are to be determined as projects become available: 2" Steel Pipe; 6", 4" and 2" Plastic Pipe; 3/4" Plastic Service Line; 10", 8", 6", 4" and 2" Steel Casing (Bored); 6", 4", and 2" Bores (No Casing); 6", 4" and 2" PE Connections; Service Reconnections; Asphalt and Concrete Pavement Replacement; Line Markers and other miscellaneous necessary items. Contractors, who bid this project, must be pre-qualified or previously pre-qualified within the last 2 years in accordance with the Marshall County Gas District (MCGD) Contractor's Affidavit of Qualifications. The Marshall County Gas District plans to award a two (2) year contract until January 1, 2024, at which time the contract may be extended by agreement of both parties with pricing adjustments based upon U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics publications. Projects will be given to Contractor as projects become available. Marshall County Gas District will contact Contractor at the time a project is ready to be installed. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor Bond, each in the amount of $300,000. These bonds shall be executed by a licensed Surety Company in the state in which this work is being performed. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities and technicalities therein. No Bidder will be allowed to withdraw his Bid, without Owner's consent, for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of actual bid opening. Each Bidder shall be a licensed Contractor in accordance with the regulations of the State of Alabama and must include the license number, expiration date and classification on the outside of the sealed bid envelope.
