Renovation of a library in Fayetteville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

As of January 20, 2022. The project has not been awarded and no specific time frame for award has been determined at this time. Fayette County, Georgia invites you to submit a quote for Interior Painting at the Library. Fayette County Library is seeking bids from qualified contractor to prep and paint interior walls as needed. Contractor shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience in providing painting services. Scope of work :-1. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, equipment and supplies to complete this work. 2. The library will remain open during this project. So as not to disrupt the entire library, the Contractor shall coordinate with the Library Director and/or designee prior to commencing work (it is suggested to paint in sections at a time). 3. Walls, windows are to be prepped, including sheetrock damage repaired, scrapping if needed. If water stains are present, stain kill must be applied prior to painting. 4. Contractor shall provide protection for floors, book shelves and anything else in area being painted. "Wet Paint" signs must be posted in and around areas where work is in progress. 5. All articles affixed to the building walls shall be removed and replaced after completing painting of that section. 6. Contractor shall move items that are in the way until they have finished painting, such as display cases, and other furniture items. 7. Contractor shall use Sherwin Williams Promar 200 series eggshell paint for walls, and the colors that will be provided by the County. The paint colors shall match the existing colors on wall or as close as possible. 8. All wood trim shall be painted with semi-gloss paint, color will be provided also. 9. All paint must be applied by roller or brush. Spray painting is not permitted. 10. Contractor shall paint the front counter, the counter in the kids section and the study rooms. 11. Contractor shall be responsible and held liable for any damage caused by the contractor for the duration of this project. The Library expects the Contractor to take care to ensure that preparation, surface and otherwise, and cleanup is thorough and orderly. Daily cleanup consists of the removal of all unnecessary equipment, trash, etc., from the premises immediately after use. Equipment cleanup is only allowed in designated areas only. Bathroom sinks, urinals or toilets are not to be used. If Contractor's employees are found using prohibited means of cleanup, Contractor will assume full responsibility. 12. Contractor is to comply with all safety requirements as it relates to OSHA. 13. All work is to be performed during "normal working hours" (7am -- 5pm, M-F) unless agreed otherwise by the Library's Director approval. 14. Fayette County has a no tobacco policy (smoking, chewing, etc.) while on county property or in county buildings. 15. The contractor is responsible for the personal conduct of their employees while on county property. Personnel are expected to be courteous and professional at all time. 16. Contractor shall provide a time line for the project. Once the project starts the contractor shall continue to perform the needed work without extended delays. 17. Should periodic inspections determine that work being perform is substandard and or not in code, the county will notify the contractor's Foreman immediately of the deficiency. If the deficiency is not corrected the county will issue a stop work order until the issue has been resolved. 18. A pre-quote meeting will be held for this project. Questions will be accepted until 2:00p.m., Friday, December 10, 2021. Before a contract is executed, the Certificates of Insurance for all required coverage shall be submitted.
