Project Category Code: Electrical Installation/Construction, Fencing/Guardrails/Handrails Description: The Project includes removing and replacing the existing entrance gate and approximately 15 linear feet of existing chain link fence with a new 50 foot wide hydraulic vertical pivot gate and furnishing and installing a push button remote with the ability to open a 50 foot gate. The Contractor shall remove approximately 15 linear feet of existing 6' high chain link fence and the existing 6'x 35' chain link cantilever gate, including the gate controller and concrete pedestal. The Contractor shall restretch/retattach the existing chain link fabric to the existing 4" post to tie off fence line, and re-use mid rail bracing and replace small fittings needed to re-attach existing fence to 4" existing post. Furnish and install 50 linear feet of a new 6' high hydraulic vertical pivot barrier gate with a concrete foundation. The Contractor shall include the master/slave set to gates, concrete foundation including inside/outside obstruction loops, cold weather package that includes new concrete pedestal with housing that includes electrical box insulation and heater, safety loops for free exit, new thru beam photo eye, safety edge, and ten (10) Liftmaster, or approved equal, single button push remotes with the ability to remotely open/close the new 50' gate from a minimum distance of 150'. The Contractorshall provide the high voltage power hookup between the gate operator and the existing power source. The Contractor shall be responsible for patching asphalt from digging conduits between the master and slave gate, and around new operator pads. The Contractor shall be responsible for removing and disposing of all un-used and un-needed materials off the existing gate. The Contractor shall guarantee all gate materials and labor for 12 months from the date of final payment. The Contractor shall provide troubleshooting service within three (3) business days of the initial report of issues from the Owner. This guarantee shall include and cover all costs associated with troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of defective Work, including costs of labor, transportation, lodging, materials, hardware, and software. This guarantee shall be included as part of Contractor's scope, and shall be provided at no additional expense to the Owner/Engineer.
