Site work for a water / sewer project in Southlake, Texas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Funding is planned for right-of-way, engineering design, and construction of an 8-inch water line to connect the dead-end water lines located at Walnut Grove and the Bob Jones Dog Park. This project will create a looped water system, improving water quality and fire protection within this region. This item was not part of Southlake 2030 but later identified in the Water Quality Study produced by Freese and Nichols, Inc. JUSTIFICATION: Improve water quality, reduce flushing (water conservation) and unnecessary water loss due to dead end lines and increase system pressure/flows for fire protection. ALTERNATIVES / IMPACTS IF PROJECT IS NOT FUNDED: Increased flushing to maintain water quality, continued risk of water supply during an emergency condition. The project is included in the city's 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of May 6, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
