Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Livermore, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a 11,000-square-foot laboratory facility; and 5,000-square-foot office development.

*Due to the sensitive nature of the information contained in this project, please refer to the owner for more information and documents. A general contractor has been awarded. New building comprised of an approximately 5,000 SF low-bay office area and an approximately 11,000 SF High Bay Laboratory Machine Shop. Note the six (6) deductive alternates: Deductive Bid Option #1 – High Volume Low Speed Fans in the High Bay Deductive Bid Option #2 – Exterior Storage Yard Canopy (includes associated Canopy Roof, Structural Steel, Foundation, Lighting and Fire Protection) Deductive Bid Option #3 – Processing Lab (includes two (2) walls and associated structure, Door 101B, Dust Collection System; Utilities servicing Processing Lab. 208volt electrical and associated raceway, wires and fittings shall remain) Deductive Bid Option #4 – Reduce Low Bay Wing Size by Approximately 2,000 square feet on West Side (40 feet x 50 feet) by eliminating the Kitchen, Offices, and Open Office Kiosks. Civil and Landscaping shall be adjusted accordingly. Deductive Bid Option #5 – Western most bay of the High Bay to Grid 1 (approximately 20 feet x 60 feet). Civil and Landscaping shall be adjusted accordingly. Deductive Bid Option #6 – Delete panel boards P1, P2, P3, L1, L2, L3 and L4, associated breakers, transformers T1, T2, T3, T4, specialty receptacles and associated raceways and wires in Storage Yard fed from omitted panels, raceways and wires between Electrical Room 117 equipment and omitted panels and transformers in High Bay and Processing Lab, and bonding from omitted transformers to building structural steel. Omit structural support, seismic bracing, hangers and anchorage associated with omitted equipment, devices and raceways. Convenience receptacles, panelboard L5a and transformer T5a in High Bay shall remain as shown in the Specifications and Drawings provided in Documents Incorporated by Reference clause. A few items to keep in mind for Sandia Labs: All drawings must be secure in your possession. All drawings, specifications, technical information, subcontract or proposal-related information, project management information, and lower tier supplier information supplied to the Subcontractor or generated by the Subcontractor shall be protected from unauthorized use, reproduction, and disclosure and Subcontractor shall protect the information at least to the same extent it would use to protect its own most valuable and proprietary information. All personnel shall be U.S. Citizens, including lower-tier subcontractors performing work in support of this effort. No smoking even in the parking lot. The use of all tobacco products, including cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, pipes, chewing tobacco, snuff, and electronic cigarettes, is prohibited on all SNL property. Work Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), Monday through Friday. NOTICE OF BUY AMERICAN REQUIREMENT–CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS – “Commercially available off-the-shelf (COTS) item”, “construction material”, cost of components” and “foreign construction material”, as used in this provision, are defined in the clause of this solicitation entitled “Buy American–Construction Materials [Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.225-9]. SMALL BUSINESS SUBCONTRACTING PLAN – http://www.sandia.gov/working_with_sandia/current_suppliers/contract_information/index.html EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION (E-VERIFY) – 980F19(05-17) Offerors’ attention is called to the inclusion of FAR 52.222-54 Employment Eligibility Verification, requiring enrollment and compliance in the government’s E-Verify program. Further information can be found at http://www.dhs.gov/E-Verify. All subcontract workers shall attend a 30 minute pre-construction meeting that will include a safety briefing and 15 minute video before beginning work on site, unless they have seen the video within the last year. Per the “Davis-Bacon Act”, the federal government requires contractors and/or their subcontractors to pay workers employed directly upon the site of the work no less than the locally prevailing wages and fringe benefits. California’s Prevailing Wage Law requires contractors to pay specific wage rates on public works projects, under Labor Code, Section 1771.4. Subcontractors must be register with the California Department of Industrial Relations (“DIR”) to perform work under Labor Code Section 1725.5. Work shall be performed at the site located at Sandia National Laboratories, Livermore, California (SNL/CA).
