This project is located on Barnett Road between Highland Drive and N. Phoenix Road;
and at Cherry Lane at N. Phoenix Road within the City of Medford and Jackson County, Oregon. This project
includes all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to install approximately 2,100 linear feet of 24 and 48 count
fiber optic cable on messenger cable and in conduit, install fiber optic distribution units and patch cables in four traffic
signal cabinets, splice and test fiber optic cable inplace, provide temporary traffic and pedestrian control in support of
the work. Pay items include, but are not limited to the following: lump sum, Temporary protection and direction of
traffic; 230 linear feet, furnish and install 24 count fiber optic cable on existing messenger cable; 625 linear feet,
furnish and install 24 count fiber optic cable in existing conduit; 1200 linear feet furnish and install 48 count fiber optic
cable on existing messenger cable; 210 linear feet, remove 48 count fiber optic cable from existing conduit; 1 each,
furnish and install fiber optic splice closure on existing messenger cable; 4 each, furnish and install fiber optic
distribution unit in traffic signal cabinet; 12 each, furnish and install splice tray; 56 each, furnish and install fiber optic
patch cables; 192 each, install fiber optic fusion splices; 360 each, test fiber optic cable. Cost Range: $50,000- $100,000. Bids must be in writing and signed by or on behalf of the bidders.
All Bidders shall be prequalified with the City of Medford, as provided by law under Oregon Revised Statutes, at least
5 days prior to opening of bids. All of the provisions of Section 279C.800 through 279C.870 ORS, as amended by
Senate Bill 477, relating to wage rates to be paid on all contracts for Public Works in this state must be complied with
and the statement attesting to the contractor's willingness to do so must be signed and submitted with the bid. All
bidders must state at the appropriate place in the bid documents, whether or not the bidder is a resident as defined
in ORS 279A.120. A percentage increase, as determined by the Department of General Services, will be added to
nonresident's bids for the purpose of determining the lowest qualified bidder. The City of Medford programs, services
