The MCCA will receive sealed bids for the "Authority's" Chiller Maintenance service. The project consists of providing all labor, materials, and equipment for the preventive maintenance and repair services for ten existing electrical centrifugal water chiller units and related accessories at the Hynes Convention Center and the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center as well as air conditioning units at 348 D Street and the Marshaling Yard trailer. Questions Due: 12/10/2021 5:00:00 PM The project consists of providing all labor, materials and equipment for the preventative maintenance and repair services for ten existing electric centrifugal water chiller units and related accessories at the Hynes Convention Center and Boston Convention & Exhibition Center and air conditioning units at 348 D Street and the MarshalingYard trailer in Boston Massachusetts, all as more fully set forth in the Specifications and Drawings. Questions or requests for information, clarification or interpretation of the bidding documents must be submitted in writing to bflynn@massconvention.com in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be received no laterthan 5:00 p.m. on December 10, 2021. A copy of a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAM) showing that the bidder has the classification and capacity rating to perform the work required must accompany each general bid on this contract. To be eligible to bid on this contract, a general bidder must be certified for the estimated project cost of $800,000 and for the following categories of work: Prime: HVAC A Contractor Qualification Update Statement must also accompany each general bid. Any general bid submittedwithout the appropriate Certificate of Eligibility and Contractor Qualification Update Statement shall be invalid. Bidding procedures and award of the contract will be in accordance with the provisions of Sections 44A through 44J, inclusive, of Chapter 149 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Each bid shall be submitted and will be considered in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and other Contract Documents and shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the value of the bid. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids if it be in the public interest to do so. The Authority reserves the right to cancel this procurement at any time without liability to any bidder or other party. The successful general bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a labor and materials, or payment bond as set forth in the bid form. Subcontractors' bonding requirements, if applicable, are described in the bidding documents. Attention is called to the minimum rates of wages to be paid on the work as determined under the provisions of Chapter 149, Massachusetts General Laws, Sections 26 to 27D, inclusive, as amended, and as set forth in the Contract Documents, which the contractor will be required to pay.
