The City of Casa Grande requests Statement of Qualifications for the following: CITY OF CASA GRANDE HEADWORKS MOTOR CONTROL CENTER REPAIRS The City of Casa Grande reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in this Statement of Qualifications, or to reject any or all bids; to be the sole judge of the suitability of the materials offered, and to award a contract or contracts for the furnishing of one or more items of the services it deems to be in the best interest of the City. The City of Casa Grande owns, operates, and maintains a 12 mgd wastewater treatment plant. The city has motor control systems in our headworks control building that are outdated, damaged and in need of repair. The headworks MCC is located directly over the influent pump station, and adequate protection from high levels of H2S gas was never provided. This project would identify and implement repairs needed to repair damaged equipment and prevent future damage. At this time, the City is seeking qualified Contractor(s) to provide electrical and controls maintenance services on the headworks motor control system, hereinafter referred to as the Project. The Project is intended to provide the labor, equipment, and materials necessary for analysis, maintenance, and replacement of vital components in the headworks MCC building. The goal of the Headworks Motor Controls maintenance project is to rehabilitate and repair and replace vital components while providing protection against future H2S corrosion and to ensure optimal functionality as designed. To provide quality control/quality assurance the City of Casa Grande will inspect all work. The intent of this project is to provide services for fiscal year 2022.The proposed budget for this project is $150,000. An emphasis will be placed on proposals which provide for all anticipated services as described in the proposed scope of work. The City, at its sole discretion, may enter contracts with one or more firms selected to perform required services. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing a variety of services as may be required to analyze, clean, repair, replace and provide inspection assessment of existing Headworks Motor Control Center at the City's wastewater treatment plant. The selected Contractor(s) shall be responsible to coordinate efforts with City Wastewater staff to perform all items listed in the scope of work but not limited to those items. All items listed in the scope of work but not limited to those items will be completed as directed during the 2022 fiscal year cycle. Coordination will be limited to Wastewater staff. Please note operations vital to plant compliance must not be interrupted while performing any items listed in the scope of work. Adequate measures to continue these operations will be required. Anticipated tasks required to be performed are as listed but not limited to: o Analyze existing Headworks Motor Control System o Provide detailed analysis and recommendations of needed repairs/replacements. o Contractor is responsible for all safety needs o Provide detailed schedule of all work to be performed o H2S monitoring and analysis o Perform all needed repairs and replacements as agreed to with City staff o Provide all schematics/as builts to City staff at completion Contractors are to submit as part of their SOQ submittal package copies of product literature for all systems, products, and components which they propose for use in execution of this project. Prospective submitters need to be aware that high levels of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gasses may be present within the sewage treatment plant . Appropriate means of addressing safety concerns related to this issue shall be the Contractor's sole responsibility.
