The Town of Kittery is seeking to select an engineer and establish price agreements for design, bid and construction administration services for the replacement of a sewer pump station serving Kittery and Eliot customers. SCOPE OF WORK The selected Engineer will be responsible to provide design of the replacement pump station, stamped construction plans, assistance with bidding, and construction administration, for the implementation of the replacement project. In coordination with the Town of Eliot, Pump Station 7 will be designed for a higher capacity of flow corresponding with the Town of Eliot's plans to extend sewer and support additional land use development connecting to the sewer service. Kittery Sewer Department Pump Station #7 located at the corner of Dennett and Eliot Road in Kittery. It is a below-ground lift station with two Fairbanks Morse 4" Model D5432WD Dry Pit Submersible Pumps and 20 HP Motors with a combined capacity of 750 GPM. The Town is seeking to upgrade to an above-ground station capable of handling 1,500 - 2,000 GPM. The upgrade will also include a dedicated 1,000-foot force main running from Pump Station #7 to the Kittery Wastewater Treatment Plant The Contract shall be for one year, with an option to extend if needed to accomplish the scope of services.
