Bid work includes all Fire Sprinkler, Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical & General Construction work necessary to install a complete and working Boiler Replacement Technical questions shall also be directed to the office of Sichmeller Engineering, Aberdeen, SD at 605-225-4344. Bid proposals shall be submitted to the Canby Community Hospital District in sealed envelopes clearly marked: "Bid for Sanford Canby Medical Center Boiler Replacement to be opened.One combined bid will be accepted - All Mechanical, Electrical, General, labor and material required to provide a complete project. Faxed bids will not be accepted; however, faxed bid adjustments will be accepted until the time of bid opening.Fax adjustments to 507-223-5002. Faxed adjustments must be followed up with a signed hard copy mailed to Canby Community Hospital District, Sanford Canby Medical Center, 112 Saint Olaf Avenue, Canby, MN 56220 - Attn: Lori Sisk. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or draft in the amount of 5% of the base bid plus all add alternates, or a 10% bid bond issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota and made payable to the "Canby Community Hospital District, Canby, Minnesota". The Canby Community Hospital District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities therein. Substantial completion shall be as follows:a. Chilled water & dual temp system downtime must be coordinated with the Owner and is weather dependent. Downtime must be limited to 14 calendar days. Exact demo start date subject to weather and building heating requirements, and is to be coordinated with Owner/Engineer (near May 1st through May 15th when heating system is disabled). Starting on the 15th calendar day of downtime, contractors may be assessed up to a maximum penalty of $500 per calendar day.b. Hot water heating system substantial completion shall be before Friday, September 2, 2022. Starting Friday, September 2, 2022, contractors may be assessed up to a maximum penalty of $500 per day.c. Steam system substantial completion shall be before Friday, October 7, 2022.Starting Friday, October 7, 2022, contractors may be assessed up to a maximum penalty of $500 per day. d. Laundry domestic hot water system substantial completion shall be before Friday, October 21, 2022. Downtime must be limited to 14 calendar days. Work must only begin after hot water heating system and steam systems are operational. Starting Friday, October 21, 2022, or 15th calendar day of downtime, contractors may be assessed up to a maximum penalty of $500 per day.
