This project will be bid using a Two-Step Competitive Sealed Bidding process as described below. Located in the City of Harrisonburg, Virginia, the proposed water quality improvement project consists of restoring approximately 1,650 linear feet of an unnamed tributary to Sieberts Creek, a tributary to Blacks Run. Proposed restoration approach will involve channel filling, grading, excavation, and select structure placement to re-establish stable dimensions, pattern, and profile. Structures and bioengineering measures to be utilized include but not limited to riffles, boulder and log cross vanes, toe with soil lifts, imbricated walls, and j-hooks. Stream bank and riparian buffers will be planted with native trees, shrubs, and grasses.
