The City of Greensboro (City) Procurement Services Division is soliciting bids from qualified Contractors to provide Storm Debris Removal and Hauling Services. The purpose of this Request for Bid (RFB) is to obtain a qualified Contractor or Contractors that can respond to requests from the City to remove curbside storm debris generated by any severe weather event throughout the year. All Contractors responding to this RFB will be required to submit a per ton price for storm debris removal per the enclosed bid form. The contract term will be for approximately three years beginning March 1, 2022 and concluding February 28, 2025 Question and Answer Period Opens : November 30, 2021 Question Period and Answer Closes : December 15, 2021 2:00 PM (EST) Bid Bond: A bid guarantee equivalent to five percent (5%) of the bid price is required from each Bidder. The "bid guarantee" can be in the form of an original bid bond or a certified check payable to the City. Bid bonds shall be submitted with the proposal in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total proposed bid amount based on the minimum of 2,000 tons for each debris category. For illustrative purposes: 2,000 tons multiplied by bid amount for vegetative +2,000 tons multiplied by bid amount for Construction & Demolition = X multiplied by 5% =Bid bond amount Failure to submit a bid bond in the amount of 5% will deem the bid invalid. Contractor must provide proof of ability to secure a 100% Performance and Payment Bond.
