The intent of this document is to outline the requirements for supplying seasonal Snow Plowing Services to the Township of Wayne, Passaic County, NJ. The Snow Plowing Season is defined as the period of October 1 through May 1 for which Snow Plowing Contractors shall enter into a contract with the Township of Wayne to plow snow on Township roads when, at the discretion of the Superintendent of Roads, or the Director of Public Works or the Business Administrator, the accumulation of snow necessitates the use of additional snow plowing equipment to supplement the Township's snow plowing fleet. All equipment must be in first class operating condition and must be equipped with mud and snow type tires and\or full link type chains on all drive axles and sufficient ballast. RUBBER EDGED BLADES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. In case of equipment breakdown, Contractor shall immediately notify the assigned inspector or the DPW Snow Operations Office as soon as possible. Contractor shall be paid for one half hour of repair time only. After repairs have been completed, the assigned inspector or DPW Snow Operations Office should be notified that said equipment is again operational. 1. After the award of a contract, each individual Contractor shall be required to sign a written agreement. SAID AGREEMENT MUST BE RETURNED TO THE TOWNSHIP ATTORNEY WITHIN TEN (10) DAYS AFTER RECEIVING THE AGREEMENT. An insurance certificate, with coverage of at least the amount specified below, shall be submitted as part of the signed contract. 2. The Contractor shall submit as part of their application a copy of their Driver's License (for each driver), Vehicle's Registration (for each vehicle), and Insurance Card (for each vehicle). All vehicles used in the performance of this contract must be covered by liability and property damage insurance as mandated by the State of New Jersey Compulsory Motor Vehicle Insurance Law 39:6B-1 as follows: Every owner or registered owner of a motor vehicle registered or principally garaged in this State shall maintain motor vehicle liability insurance coverage, under provisions approved by the Commissioner of Insurance, insuring against loss resulting from liability imposed by law for bodily injury, death and property damage sustained by any person arising out of the ownership, maintenance, operation or use of a motor vehicle wherein such coverage shall be at least in: a. An amount or limit of $15,000.00, exclusive of interest and costs, on account of injury to, or death of, one person, in any one accident; and b. An amount or limit, subject to such limit for any one person so injured or killed, of $30,000.00, exclusive of interest and costs, on account of injury to or death of, more than one person, in any one accident; and c. An amount or limit of $5,000.00, exclusive of interest and costs, for damage to property in any one accident
