Renovation of an educational facility in Houston, Texas. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Type of Proposal: Stipulated sum, in Competitive Sealed Proposal, in accordance with the Texas Government Code Chapter 2269. Project Location: 12550 Vindon Dr., Houston, Texas 77024 The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: Phased building renovations to the existing Memorial Middle School including replacement of existing classroom door hardware to meet new design standards, renovation of existing Clinic suite to meet the 2019 Ed. Specs, demolition of existing lockers at counselor suite, courtyard drainage improvements, site lighting upgrades, and fire alarm / intrusion system / camerasystem replacement. Proposal Receiver: Richard L. Gay, CPPO, RSBO, RTSBA Director of Procurement Services Proposal Security: Proposal Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check for 10 percent of total proposal. Make security payable to the Owner. Proposal Acceptance Period: Proposals shall be valid for 90 days from time of Proposal opening Performance and Payment Bonds are required in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount and are to be included with signed contract. The bonds shall be furnished in accordance with Texas School Law Bulletin, Texas Government Code, Labor, Article 5160, Chapter Four, and SBISD Instructions to Offerors, Document 00 200.00, par. 1.9. A Proposal Bond in the amount of 10% of any Proposal must be submitted with Proposal. Prospective Offerors for this Project are required to meet all qualification requirements as established in these proposal documents. Contract will be awarded only to qualified Offeror(s). Refer to Document 00 600 00 - Proposer's Qualifications for further requirements. Prospective Offerors who do not submit Proposals on this Project are requested to notify the Owner's Purchasing Department in writing, if they wish to receive future proposal requests. Failure to do so may result in their being deleted from the Owner's prospective offerors list. At that time, Prospective Offerors and their estimators can discuss with representatives of the Owner, Architect, and Engineers any questions they may have regarding the project. Subsequent to the Pre-Proposal Conference, if necessary, an Addendum will be issued no later than February 01, 2022, except for one that postpones the opening date or cancels the proposal. ALL ADDENDA will be issued only through Electronically. All questions shall be received by Noon on January 25, 2022. Questions must be submitted in writing.
