Renovation of a transportation facility in Grand Haven, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

The City of Grand Haven reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any parts of the same, to waive any irregularities and to accept any bid in its own best interest All Proposals must be accompanied by the bid bond, deposit of cash, certified check, bank cashier's or bank official's check, drawn on a solvent bank payable to the Treasure of the City of Grand Haven in the amount determined by the City as stated in the Proposal Form, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted a contract will be entered into.The successful bidder may be required to furnish a bond or certified check on a solvent bank, payable to the Treasure of the City of Grand Haven in the amount stated in the Proposal Form as a guarantee for the faithful performance of the contract. The City will determine the sufficiency of the surety. a) 10% retainer shall be held by the City for a period of six months after the satisfactory completion date. The project must be completed prior to June 1, 2022. Project is to include the supplying of all materials, tools, and labor to power wash, prime and paint metal roofing. Bids must include the following standards and be separated by building. We have four (4) hangars that we would like to have coated but budgeting may require us to pick which buildings will be completed during this project. Airport staffwill need a two (2) week notice to coordinate with lease holders. The hangers on which the work will be done are identified on the attached picture. The hangars we intend to coat are A, B, D, and F. o All permits and inspection costs are the responsibility ofthe awarded contractor. o Awarded contractor to schedule all inspections with appropriate agencies, and inform the Facilities and Grounds Manager, 24 hrs. before inspection. o Use ofprotective materials and barriers to prevent damage to windows and siding and collection of any debris. o Power wash entire roofto ensure adhesion. o Replace all missing and loose fasteners. o Provide containers for proper disposal of all debris into state approved landfill; All debris is to be cleaned up at the end of each day. o All site restoration is to be included and completed after final clean up. o Once initiated, the work is to continue on continuous work days until completion ofthe project, except as necessitated due to inclement weather. o The airport often experiences high winds; coatings will likely have to be applied by roller. 1. Examine current roofsurfaces to ensure that proposed coatings will adhere properly in order to meet the manufacturer's warranty requirements. 2. Power wash entire roofto ensure clean and uniform surface for painting. 3. Remove all rust from surface. 4. Replace all missing and loose fasteners with Fastenal roofing screws part #51603 and Fastenal bonded sealing washers, part #1133164 or approved equivalents (determined by owner). 5. Apply one (1) coat Lucas Professional Coatings #748 Aluminum Roof Coating, or an approved equivalent (determined by owner) to entire roofper manufacturers specifications. The hangers on which the work will be done are identified on the attached picture. The hangars we intend to coat are A, B, D, and F. Hangar A - approximately 13,400sq.ft. Hangar B - approximately 6,650sq.ft. Hangar D - approximately 10,260sq.ft. Hangar F - approximately 13,000sq.ft.
