Site work for a water / sewer project in Redding, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replace double corrugated metal storm drain pipes with a precast reinforced concrete box culvert to include two catch basins and approximately 240 linear feet of sanitary sewer. There are 120 working days. The Engineer's Estimate is $500,000 The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A license at the time bid is opened. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the specifications and proposal requirements thereof and no bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashier's check, or original bidder's bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with his proposal and the specifications. Such guarantee shall be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. The City of Redding hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, all businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, gender, disability, or other protected class in consideration for an award.
