Estimated Value: $500,000 The following parks are examples of locations that are being assessed this fall and will soon be ready for the tree removal stage. More Central Region parks will be assessed in 2022/23 and then again in 2023/24 fiscal years. A current tree count is in Appendix C, Attachment #6. o William A. Switzer Provincial Park (approximately 587 trees) o Miquelon Lake Provincial Park (approximately 1081 trees) o Crimson Lake Provincial Park (& Twin Lakes) (approximately 310 & 138 trees respectively) o Red Lodge Provincial Park (approximately 85 trees) o Wabamun Lake Provincial Park (approximately 478 trees) o Strathcona Science Provincial Park (approximately 10 trees) o Pigeon Lake Provincial Park (approximately 1,422 trees) o Jarvis Bay Provincial Park (approximately 1,172 trees) Project Objectives: To remove all identified/marked hazard trees from park facility zones (campgrounds, day use areas, maintenance compounds, park offices, staff residence etc.) to minimize risks to public/staff safety and park infrastructure or visitor property.
