The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor for the renovation and addition to the Justice Center Annex. The project consists of an existing five story, 33,200 square feet administration building. The first floor (A-3 Assembly) will be renovated (6,640 square feet), and have an addition of 615 square feet. Type IIB construction, sprinklered. The exterior consists of EIFS, Brick veneer, and Concrete Masonry. Questions Due Date: Jan 5th 2022, 5:00 PM EST Intent to Bid Due Date: Jan 18th 2022, 12:00 PM EST Bidder hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on or before a date to be specified in the notice to proceed and to fully complete the project within 240 consecutive calendar days thereafter All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of Columbia County, Georgia, in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for Columbia County, Georgia. Each bond shall be equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Columbia County, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract.
