Notice is hereby given by the Board of Education of Jordan School District ; that because of the specialized nature of the construction on the following named projects, the need for a timely completion thereof and other related factors, that bid documents, including plans and specifications, will be given to and bids received from only those general contractors who have been pre-qualified by the school district to bid on this project. To be prequalified to bid on these upcoming projects, each general contractor must certify to Jordan School District the correctness and accuracy of the following statements and submittals as they pertain to the general contractor desiring to bid. Part I will involve the prequalification (unpriced technical offers) of contractors based on the criteria outlined in this document. During Part II, prequalified contractors will be invited to submit bids for the new school building and associated site improvements to be located in multiple sites within Jordan School District. Final general contractor selection will be based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid as submitted in Part II. The only general contractors allowed to bid on the upcoming listed projects will be contractors prequalified by this bid solicitation. The following project descriptions are to give interested parties a general scope of work to assist in responding to this prequalification. General contractors should reference similar projects as those listed herein to show experience in completing such projects. These descriptions are only summaries and they may change slightly between now and the time the projects will be bid in Part II of this solicitation.
