The submission deadline for questions is December 10, 2021 at 12:01a.m. local time This is a Multi-Step IFB for Ancillary Repairs, Maintenance and Minor Construction for MDOT MTA Metro Division.This solicitation also includes a first task for the contract. The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of services necessary for the accomplishment of miscellaneous minor construction, repairs, and maintenance work for the MDOT MTA's Metro Facilities located in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Work may include, but not limited to:1. Electrical repairs and upgrades 2. Fixture, cabling, and light pole replacement 3. Utility excavation and servicing 4. Concrete repairs 5. Spall, curb, and sidewalk repair 6. Tunnel grouting 7. HVAC work including fan, air handler, compressor, and filter replacement or repair 8. Plumbing including pipe and fitting replacement or repair 9. Roll-up door repair 10. Door replacement 11. Gate or fence repair or replacement 12. Minor construction 13. Painting and drywall repair or replacement 14. Signage, stair and floor repairs 15. Window repair and replacement 16. Other services related to the preservation or enhancement of the Metro system. It is strongly suggested that the person(s) responsible for the preparation of bid documents for bidders attend the Pre-Bid Meeting. A public opening of the technical bids will not be conducted on January 5, 2022. A notification to Bidders will be made when pricing will be opened publicly Each bid exceeding $100,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid Price.A performance and payment bond are required for all construction contracts in an excess of $100,000. The performance bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The payment bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The bond shall be on a form furnished by MDOT MTA, underwritten by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Maryland, and in the amount specified by this solicitation. Upon receiving notification of contract award, the Contractor shall deliver the bond to the MDOT MTA no later that the time the Contractor returns a signed contract. The "Notice to Contractors" may be canceled in accordance with State Procurement Regulations. The State (Administration) reserves the right to cancel this IFB, or accept or reject any and all Bids, in whole or in part and/or waive technical defects if,in its judgment, the interests of the Administration so require. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
