Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 2165.001, Custodianship of State Property, and Section 2156.121, Use of Competitive Sealed Proposals, the Texas Facilities Commission is requesting responses to this Request for Proposal for the provision of Fire Alarm Upgrade at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, TSBVI, located at 1100 W. 45th Street, Austin, Texas 78756. a) Modify existing TSBVI FACP Installations to incorporate new Network Switches, Power Supplies, accessory modules, and equipment to facilitate modification of existing network connectivity to full UL Network Capability. b) UL Network is to be integrated into the BCN to provide connectivity/visibility to the Fireworks Cluster at the Sam Houston Building. This project is to bring full visibility to SHB Fireworks from TSBVI. c) Provide and install equipment necessary to interconnect existing EST 3 / 3X FACPs into existing TSBVI Campus Network. d) Provide, Install, and Program NEW EST UL Listed Managed Switches at each FACP location, 22 total fire panels. e) Provide Fiber backbone from each new Managed Switch to existing IT Fiber Network Interface Node. f) If existing Fiber Network does not accommodate the scope of this project additional Fiber will need to be installed. Include price per linear foot installed, if needed, on Attachment D - Compensation and Fees. g) Provide and install new APS power Supplies to facilitate installations and provide required power and mounting capacity. h) Program and certify all connections into existing Fireworks environment. i) Project to be supervised by NICET 3 Fire Alarm Technician. j) Provide complete testing and certification of each FACP to ensure compliance with UL requirements. k) Provide all conduit, misc. connectors, associated electrical power expansion (from existing FACPs) as required for complete installation.
