As of September 14, 2023, this project is in the design phase. An engineer has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The State University Construction Fund is seeking Statements of Qualifications from consultants to provide design services through the Schematic Design Phase for the comprehensive phased renovation of College and Shango Hall (approximately 105,000 square feet). Design services for the full project, including phasing documents, shall completed to the Schematic Design Phase level. Upon Schematic Phase approval by the Fund, services would likely commence for the design and construction of a Phase 1 portion of the project. The project will include full replacement of all interior finishes and components, all MEP systems, roof and elevator, as well as the abatement of hazardous materials. Consultant will be required to determine the optimum phasing of construction based on available funding and potential surge space. The building design and all new components and systems will comply with the new SUCF Directive 1B-2, Net Zero Carbon New Buildings and Deep Energy Retrofits of Existing Buildings. Submissions should articulate the design team's significant experience with phased renovations of collegiate and similar institutional science buildings. The construction budget is currently estimated to be $65,553,000.
