The Town of Windham is currently inviting bids from qualified asphalt paving companies, acting singularly or in consortium, for road paving projects in the Town of Windham. The Town is looking for a single turnkey bid proposal. If additional subcontractors are to be used, references and insurances must be provided for them. All work over thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) in total must include a one (1) year performance bond supplied prior to start of work. All work is subject to Town Meeting approval in March of 2022. Prior to submitting bids,prospective contractors must meet with the General Services Director to review the scope of work for the roads and discuss any issues or explain alternatives not mentioned therein as written. All work areas will be marked out by Town personnel, and can be further reviewed by contacting General Services Director Dennis Senibaldi between 8AM and 4PM, M-F, at (978)-857-0970 The successful bidder shall be responsible for supplying all fuel, manpower, equipment and equipment maintenance, and safety equipment necessary to complete the following scope of work and fulfill the terms of the contract. Contractor shall also be responsible for traffic control while on site. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to award bids in whole or in part, waive technicalities or formalities, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Windham. Bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked Paving Projects. A bidder may attach any explanatory materials, brochures, or other documents, which it may feel of use in the presentation of its bid.The Town will not be responsible for late mail deliveries and no bid will be accepted if received after the time stipulated above. Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted. Any unopened bids will be returned to the vendor.
