The Work shall take place at both the North and South Campus. At South Campus the Work includes, but is not limited to, the addition of a new Cooling Tower, Chiller and piping runs, extending the chiller mains to B-Wing, C-Wing and new unit vents in both of those wings. At the North Campus It will also include replacement of the Vaughan Field House air handlers with new RTUs and duct work, replacing ductwork on the roof above entrance 2 and 3 at the North Building and a new dryer vent for the Vaughan Laundry Room all associated work. Work may be awarded as a single contract or as three separate contracts. Refer to the Drawings and Project Manual for the full extent of the Work. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee that shall be not less than 10 percent of the amount of the Base Bid, and at the option of the Bidder may be a Certified Check, Bank Draft, or a Bid Bond, secured by a Guarantee or Surety Company. Certified Check must be made payable to the order of Lyons Township High School District No. 204. The Contractor must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates for all work per Illinois Law. It is the policy of Lyons Township High School District 204 to provide equal opportunity to all qualified businesses in the awarding of contracts and accordingly promotes the utilization of diversified businesses to the maximum extent feasible in any contract issued against the solicitation to bid. A portion of this project (Base Bids 1 and 2) is supported by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) of the United States (U.S.) Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of a financial assistance award totaling $2,034,961 with an estimated 81 percent funded by ACF/HHS and an estimated $465,039 (19 percent) funded by non-government source(s). The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bidding procedure, or accept the Bid that, in its opinion, will serve the best interest of the School District. The Owner reserves the right to set aside a Bid from a Contractor who, in the Owner's opinion, does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project.
