MLE JOB NO.21067. TERRACON PROJECT NO. 18217184A Each bid must be accompanied by a bidders bond executed by the bidder and a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Tennessee, for the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount bid. In-lieu-of a bid bond a cashiers check in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, made payable to the Owner, will be accepted. The successful bidder will be required to execute a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract price, or other security such as letter of credit as described in Tennessee Code Annotated 12-4-201. Bonds must be accompanied by Power of Attorney. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of bid. All bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by Chapter 135 Public Acts of 1945 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, Section 1. Bidders name and license number must be placed on the envelope containing his bid and bond. In compliance with Tennessee Code Annotated 50-9-113, employers with five or more. Employees are required to submit an affidavit, which states that they have a Drug Free Workplace Program that complies with TCA Title 50 Chapter 9 in effect at the time of bid submission. The successful bidder will submit such affidavit prior to signing contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities therein. THE SCOPE OF THIS PROJECT IS DIVIDED INTO THREE MAIN PARTS. THE FIRST PART INVOLVES THE REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING WINDOWS AROUND THE BUILDING AND REPLACING WITH NEW ALUMINUM, THERMALLY BROKEN WINDOWS. SOME OF THE WINDOWS HAVE EMERGENCY EGRESS PANES. THIS BUILDING HAS VARIOUS ADDITIONS AND THE EXISTING WINDOW OPENING CONDITIONS VARY FROM ORIGINAL BUILDING TO ALL THE DIFFERENT ADDITIONS. THE SECOND PART INVOLVES THE REPLACEMENT OF THE GYM FLOOR WITH A NEW WOOD FLOORING SYSTEM. THIS PORTION OF THE WORK INVOLVES COORDINATION WITH EXISTING STRUCTURAL FLOOR ELEVATIONS AND EXISTING FINISH FLOOR ELEVATIONS. THE NEW FLOOR WILL BE INSTALLED ON THE EXISTING FLOOR STRUCTURAL SUBFLOOR TO REMAIN. COORDINATE WITH HAZARDOUS MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS. THE THIRD PART INVOLVES NEW, POWERED BLEACHERS ON THE SOUTH WALL OF THE GYM. NO WORK IS BEING DONE AS A PART OF THIS PROJECT TO CHANGE EGRESS CORRIDORS, EGRESS PATHWAYS, EMERGENCY OR EXIT LIGHTING AND NO BUILDING AREA IS BEING ADDED AS PART OF THIS WORK The work included under these Specifications and the accompanying drawings consists of providing all items, articles, materials, operations or methods listed, mentioned or scheduled on the drawings and/or herein, including all labor, materials, services, equipment and incidentals for the construction of the White Plains Academy Window, Gym Floor, and Bleacher Replacement. B. The Architect and Owner have attempted to identify all scopes of work; however, all incidental parts of the work may not be identified in the documents. All collateral or accompanying work required in order to accommodate work specifically shown in the documents shall be included in the Contractor's bid and shall not be cause for issuance of change orders. C. This project includes the replacement of existing exterior windows and gym floor
