The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing walls, installation of signage, plumbing, HvAC, electrical to create a Service Animal Relief Area (SARA) within the Main Terminal Building. All work will be inside the Security Identification Display Area (SIDA). All bjds must include apprentice documents in a separate envelope. Bids received without the apprenticeship documents will be considered non responsive and will be rejected. All bid openings will take place in-person at: Town of Islip, auditorium (main floor), 401 main street, islip, new york, 11751. Bid openings will no longer be live streamed. Questions will be welcomed and answered through an addendum. Each bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond payable to the Town of Islip, in an amount equal to ten percent of the Bid Price. The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Payment and performance Bonds for the full amount of the Contract. The Town may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after being publicly opened and read. In the event bids are rejected or no bids are received, the Department of Purchasing is authorized to re-advertise for bids. Bidders shall make a good faith effort to obtain Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation of fifteen percent (15%), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation of ten percent (I0%), and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation of eight and six tenths percent (8.60%) of the dollar value of the Contract in accordance with the goals established by the Airport.
