Site work for an educational facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
The University of Winnipeg seeks to install a new Building Fiber Network to replace and improve upon the current infrastructure. We require only a subset of buildings to be connected to the Building Fiber Network. The new Building Fiber Network is to be installed in parallel with the existing fiber connections, so that the operations of the UW will be interrupted minimally. The University of Winnipeg has two data centers one in Centennial Hall (CH) and the other in Richardson Collage (RCFE). The new Building Fiber Network will connect each building to both data centers, and a dedicated fiber network between the two data centers. There will be a breakout of fiber for IT infrastructure and a separate break out of non-IT systems such as fire alarm monitoring into each building. All specifications and construction details are in the drawing package, City of Winnipeg permit has already been approved for this scope of work. Official bid documents must be obtained from Merx
